Interwoven's market success has been driven by its continued focus on delivering innovative new technology, the growing adoption of its unique matter-centric collaboration (MCC) approach, and an extensive solutions partner network. Worldwide, law firms and corporate legal departments continue to adopt Interwoven CDM, powered by Interwoven WorkSite 8 software, to address the increasing challenge of managing documents and e-mails in a single consistent manner. Innovative Technologies Transform Legal IT

Matter-centric collaboration (MCC), the unique paradigm at the heart of WorkSite 8, has gained broad acceptance across the industry by enabling lawyers for the first time to manage matter-related content in the electronic world the way they have done for more than a century in the physical world. MCC creates the true electronic equivalent of a case file by consolidating documents, e-mails, billing, contacts and all other relevant content for any given matter in a single integrated file that is accessible both internally and externally across departments and locations.

With MCC serving as the organizational foundation of matter-related material, Interwoven has further enhanced its industry-leading legal offerings with the introduction of Interwoven OffSite, which enables the use of WorkSite 8 while disconnected from the network, delivering a 'portable' document management capability for the mobile worker. Interwoven OffSite dramatically improves mobile CDM productivity by enabling users to easily access the virtual equivalent of their briefcase or client file-including the organizational structure, documents, e-mails, scanned images and other content-even when disconnected from the network. New and modified documents and filed e-mails are automatically synchronized with the entire matter or client file upon synchronization with the network. In the past, organizations have relied on records management strategies designed solely for paper records, which are based on labor-intensive manual processes for classification and administration. With the explosive growth of electronic records and e-mail, the fundamental lack of scalability of this method is compounded by the lack of an integrated solution encompassing paper, electronic records and e-mail, forcing companies to maintain separate silos.
