"Some aspects of Cloud Computing have clear value for modern enterprises," declares David Linthicum, "but the trick is to figure out your own needs and what products will fulfill those needs." Proprietor of David S. Linthicum, LLC - an internationally known firm that provides quality EAI, SOA, enterprise architecture, and Web 2.0 spaces consulting services to organizations that seek "guidance beyond the hype" - Linthicum made the comment as he announced the launch of a Cloud Computing Podcast on iTunes.
“I remove the hype from Cloud Computing and drive directly at the value for the traditional enterprise,” says Linthicum. The format of this podcast, he adds, will be "informal, informational, and focus on the realities of Cloud Computing beyond the hype."
Guests on the Podcast will be the movers and shakers in the world of Cloud Computing…including key Cloud Computing providers, end users, and thought leaders, he adds.
How To Listen
You can find the Cloud Computing Podcast on iTunes here or subscribe to the RSS feed here.
Linthicum will be keynoting in San Jose, CA, on November 19 at the SOA World Conference & Expo 2008 West. 'While everyone wants to do SOA right the first time, the typical results are not always stellar,' says Linthicum. 'The pitfalls of building any complex architecture, including SOA,' he adds, 'are something that the SOA practitioners must contend with, and most are ill-equipped.'
Linthicum's keynote, titled "SOA By the Numbers," will be a must-attend for those looking to get SOA right the first time.
