AJAX E-mail Client Integrates Into Web 2.0 Applications
Zapatec Debuts Pluggable Enterprise-Class Web 2.0 E-mail Client

Zapatec introduced the Zapatec AJAX E-mail Client, the second in a series of self-contained modules designed for integration into Web 2.0 applications. Zapatec's AJAX E-mail Client enables developers to add needed web-based e-mail functionality to their applications, freeing them to focus on their core business.

"Most web-based applications do not incorporate advanced e-mail functionality, forcing users to rely on free consumer-grade solutions or antiquated Web 1.0 clients," said Dror Matalon, CEO of Zapatec. "Zapatec is the first company in the industry to offer a pluggable AJAX e-mail client for Web 2.0 applications. The Zapatec AJAX E-mail client gives application developers a way to include a professional e-mail tool within their web-based platforms, speeding time to market and reducing development costs."

"Our Web 2.0 customer relationship management solution - iComplete.com - could not be complete without a sophisticated messaging component," said Stuart Hibbert, CEO of Web Applied Limited. "Zapatec's AJAX E-mail Client enables us to provide our customers with an intuitive, powerful solution that was surprisingly simple to integrate into our application."

Developers can integrate the Zapatec E-mail Client into any application or purchase it as a standalone software package. The look and feel is customizable via CSS and HTML and it works with any IMAP mail server. Additionally, the standards-based Zapatec AJAX E-mail Client is available as a pluggable AJAX front-end or with either PHP or Java back-ends.

Zapatec E-mail Features
The Zapatec AJAX E-mail Client offers:

  • A true AJAX single-page application
  • Familiar operation
  • Customization

The Zapatec AJAX E-mail Client is the second self-contained single-page full featured AJAX module offered by Zapatec. The first - an AJAX events calendar - was introduced in February. A contact module is expected to be released in May 2008.
