BroadSoft Expands Partnership with GlobalLogic to Include Mobile Application Development

VIENNA, Va., Nov. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, has expanded its relationship with GlobalLogic, Inc., the leader in global product development, to include application development. The development partnership builds on the success of the software quality assurance (QA) and testing services GlobalLogic already provides for BroadSoft's VoIP applications.

BroadSoft has partnered with GlobalLogic to assist in the development of client software that resides on mobile end devices. These fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) clients extend control of an enterprise's VoIP telephony system to the handset, allowing mobile workers to access call logs and corporate directories, and modify calling features while on the go.

Mobile application development is one of GlobalLogic's areas of expertise. Its more than 250 mobile R&D engineers have developed applications on all standard mobile platforms for hundreds of devices in use with major carriers. GlobalLogic has expertise developing mobile applications for a number of markets including field services, financial services, healthcare, wireless Internet, mobile enterprise, retail and transportation.

"Our partnership with GlobalLogic gives us access to world-class engineers with extensive experience in developing mobile software clients," said Robert Weidenfeller, vice president of Engineering for BroadSoft. "Because GlobalLogic worked with us so successfully on QA and testing projects, we knew we could rely on its software development team."

Peter Harrison, CEO of GlobalLogic, added: "GlobalLogic is known for helping technology companies bring quality software products to market at an accelerated pace and highly competitive price. BroadSoft has seen the results we can deliver, and we welcome the opportunity to expand our R&D partnership into software development for BroadSoft's mobile VoIP solutions."

GlobalLogic's 2,000 employees in the U.S., India, Ukraine and China focus solely on R&D for technology companies, not IT services. In addition to mobile software development, GlobalLogic services include product testing and quality assurance, product analysis, conceptualization and realization, migration and porting, and product maintenance and support for mobile products. GlobalLogic's distributed Agile development method and platform, GlobalLogic Velocity(TM), helps shrink the software product development lifecycle and ensure that robust, high-quality product releases are delivered on time.
