PITTSBURGH, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Attention all Steelers fans! Cricket Communications, Inc., a leading provider of unlimited wireless services, is partnering with the Pittsburgh Steelers, Motorola and Super Bowl MVP Hines Ward, to give Pittsburghers another ring to be proud of.
Cricket(R) Wireless will be the exclusive carrier of the official Hines Ward MotoRAZR(TM) V3a complete with Hines' signature, Steelers logo, Hines Ward ringtones, wallpaper and certificate of authenticity. The complete package, available for a limited time only, is $299.99 with an option of adding Hines Ward ringback tones for an additional fee.
"This is Cricket's first authorized NFL player phone, and with a Super Bowl MVP!" says Sam Sarnicke, Area General Manager (AGM) Cricket Wireless, Pittsburgh. "It's also the first time that we've worked with Motorola on this type of project and we're very excited that this one of a kind phone is a result of that partnership."
Cricket will be kicking-off the exclusive release of the phone Steelers' style with Black and Gold tailgate parties at Cricket retailers across the Pittsburgh region and cooking up a good time with free food and drinks from Fuddruckers and a "Best Dressed Fan" contest with chances to win Cricket prizes. Look for the black, gold and green at the following locations:
Saturday, October 13 Cricket Monroeville: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. 3839 William Penn Highway Monroeville, PA 15146 Cricket Caste Village: 2 - 4 p.m. Caste Village Shoppes Whitehall, PA 15236 Monday, October 15 Cricket Downtown: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. 201 Smithfield Street Pittsburgh, PA 15222
Though Steelers pride runs nationwide, this phone is only available through local Cricket corporate and premier dealer locations in Pittsburgh beginning this Saturday, October 13, and only for a limited time. And as if it wasn't enough to support the local team, a portion of the proceeds from all sales will support the Hines Ward Helping Hands Foundation, a Fund of the Pittsburgh Foundation created in 2006, which helps mixed-race children like Hines himself in South Korea where they suffer discrimination on a daily basis.
