P2 Energy Solutions Announces the Release of Enterprise Land(TM) 2.0

HOUSTON, Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- P2 Energy Solutions, the industry's leading provider of oil and gas software, is pleased to announce the release of Enterprise Land(TM) 2.0. Using the industry leading Tobin LandSuite of software as the basis for the new product, Enterprise Land redefines the way companies utilize software to manage their land assets.

Tarig Anani, president, P2 Energy Solutions commented, "it is very exciting for P2 Energy Solutions to be involved in the creation of such a radically new land management product. We anticipate that Enterprise Land will enable our customers to completely re-think how they are capturing, managing and distributing land asset information throughout their companies."

Mark Eikermann, senior vice president of development, P2 Energy solutions said, "Enterprise Land is the upstream industry's first application built for the enterprise completely using a services oriented architecture." Mr. Eikermann continues, "Enterprise Land allows independent oil and gas companies, of any size, to better meet the increasing demands of managing land assets. A project of this magnitude would not have been possible without the participation of our customers. Our clients' expert business process knowledge and design input in combination with our technical and product expertise has created a best-in-class product that meets the needs of our customers both now and for many years to come."

The Enterprise Land suite of applications takes full advantage of a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Because the modules are component-based and loosely coupled, customers gain tremendous flexibility in how functionality is configured, deployed, accessed and integrated with other applications. Along with users being able to call up pieces of functionality as a Web service, the solution offers user-level customization capabilities related to forms, fields, processes and validations as well as integrated workflow and alert capabilities; all while maintaining detailed audit trails.

The Enterprise Land suite consists of the following modules: Company Owned Lands, LeaseData, Contracts, Domain/Property, WellInfo, LeaseCost Imaging Gateway and Land DataMart. The suite comes equipped with embedded APIs to assist with data exchange and integration with internal and external data sources, special adaptors to SAP and standard integration with the Oracle eBusiness Suite and other P2 Energy Solutions products including Enterprise Upstream and the Tobin GIS Studio. The company plans to roll out an additional module early next year to assist with lease acquisitions and broker management and plans to add more international functionality in future releases.

The release of Enterprise Land 2.0 is the culmination of a collaborative and cooperative effort by some of P2 Energy Solutions' largest customers. The development project involved and continues to involve an advisory board made up of representatives from 13 major oil and gas companies plus six sponsor companies. P2 Energy Solutions would like to thank all of the companies for participating in the project.

Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...
The explosion of new web/cloud/IoT-based applications and the data they generate are transforming our world right before our eyes. In this rush to adopt these new technologies, organizations are often ignoring fundamental questions concerning who owns the data and failing to ask for permission to conduct invasive surveillance of their customers. Organizations that are not transparent about how their systems gather data telemetry without offering shared data ownership risk product rejection, regu...

Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year. But bad data is much more than a cost center. By eroding trust in information, analytics and the business decisions based on these, it is a serious impediment to digital transformation.

Enterprises have taken advantage of IoT to achieve important revenue and cost advantages. What is less apparent is how incumbent enterprises operating at scale have, following success with IoT, built analytic, operations management and software development capabilities - ranging from autonomous vehicles to manageable robotics installations. They have embraced these capabilities as if they were Silicon Valley startups.
As IoT continues to increase momentum, so does the associated risk. Secure Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) is ranked as one of the most important technology areas of IoT. Driving this trend is the realization that secure support for IoT devices provides companies the ability to deliver high-quality, reliable, secure offerings faster, create new revenue streams, and reduce support costs, all while building a competitive advantage in their markets. In this session, we will use customer use cases...
