Autologic Drives Growth With Appointment Of First Chief Technology Officer And New European Sales Director

David Walters joins as CTO of leading automotive diagnostics provider to help shape delivery of its multi-channel, multi-device strategy.

James Bagan comes onboard to accelerate European Sales growth.

25 JULY 2014 - Wheatley, Oxfordshire. Autologic Diagnostics today announced the appointment of David Walters as its first Chief Technology Officer (CTO) and James Bagan as its European Sales Director. Walters joins Autologic to steer the technical development of the company's next generation of multi-channel automotive diagnostic software and solutions. Bagan will shape and develop new sales channels, while ensuring that customer input drives development of the best product platforms and diagnostic services for their business.

Bagan and Walters have a proven track record of over 25 years each in senior leadership positions.

Bagan has driven sales teams in the advertising, technology, outsourcing and logistics industries. He has also spent the last 10 years successfully leading private equity backed business through major change programmes.

Bagan said: "Autologic has been through considerable change in the past months and my ambition is to help reinforce the company's reputation in all of the places we do business. I'll be doing my job well if customers feel really listened to, supported and valued by us."

As a technology leader, David Walters has designed and driven technology strategy development across various geographies and has worked with, and led, teams in the UK, USA as well as across EMEA. Prior to joining Autologic, he met with key customers to discuss their opinion of the company's products and services.

"Autologic customers have told me how important our products and services are to their everyday working lives," said Walters. "There is a great deal more that we can do, even in the short term, to design and build innovative products that our customers can use to drive predictable and profitable diagnosis. These will be what the industry will come to recognizes as genuine thought leadership," added Walters.

Walters' sector-specific experience includes contact centre, media, finance and technology with responsibility for driving business innovation, particularly in the areas of hardware/software, digital apps and social media, big data analytics and cloud-based transformation. He was also a finalist at the British Computer Society/Computing UK IT Leader of the Year awards in 2009.
