NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/17/14 -- This summer, Marriott is inviting guests to explore the Best of New York City, with an exclusive package at participating hotels, plus a chance to win a three-night stay when they share #WIN3NYC. The prize includes 200,000 American Airlines AAdvantage® miles and two Smart Destinations Explorer Passes to visit some of the city's best sights.

Entrants have three ways to enter; by choosing a postcard that represents one of Marriott's signature brands and tweeting with #WIN3NYC or entering at our website, or by visiting participating NYC properties and posting an Instagram or tweeting a photo with #WIN3NYC. Plus, for each friend who enters through a shared link, that entrant will get one additional entry in the sweepstakes.

The online sweepstakes kicks off the New York City participating hotel's "Best of NYC" summer package which guests may book on marriott.com. The package includes a hotel stay and an Explorer Pass for three attractions in the city, chosen from over 50 different offerings.

New York City has something for everyone, and guests are invited to choose the style of visit that appeals to their personality most: in the #WIN3NYC online sweepstakes, entrants can click on an online "postcard" that describes their personal favorites. There's The Iconic (JW Marriott), The Authentic (Renaissance Hotels), The Original (Marriott Hotels), and The Essential (Courtyard by Marriott and Springhill Suites). Whatever the guest preference, there's a Marriott brand that complements the guest's personal style. Iconic sights like Lincoln Center, Central Park, or the swirling Frank Lloyd Wright architecture of the Guggenheim Museum go hand in hand with the spirit and architecture of the JW Marriott Essex House. For attractions like the art deco masterpieces of midtown, including Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Center, and the uptown Cloisters Museum and Gardens, Renaissance hotels offers the authentic experience of discovery.

Those looking to soak up the vital energy of the original sights that make New York what it is can explore the town on a New York Tour Bus, sail out to the Statue of Liberty, or walk across the Brooklyn Bridge -- NYC Classics, conveyed as well with Marriott Hotels' modern yet sophisticated appeal. Courtyard by Marriott and Springhill Suites hotels offer guests the chance to explore the city's new modern essentials, including the proudest skyscraper of the 20th century: the Empire State Building, as well as Madison Square Garden (the hub of major sporting events and concerts), or go for a boat ride on the Water Taxi, as it sails the waters surrounding Manhattan.

Explorer Passes grant guests the opportunity to choose from a great selection of over 50 sights to see, and in some cases skip the ticket line at many of the city's top attractions. Guests can go sightseeing at their own pace and enjoy insider info with a handy guidebook that is included
