Workplace Sustainability a Major Goal of David Selakovic of Selacorp

SINGAPORE -- (Marketwired) -- 05/31/14 -- According to "Gaining Ground: Corporate Progress on the Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability", a recent report which was published at the 2014 Ceres Conference in Boston, the majority of large US companies are not taking the required action in order to tackle environmental issues such as climate change and sustainability. The study looked at 20 measures that suggest whether an organization is integrating sustainability into its decision-making and general business systems. Focusing on the four main pillars -- governance, disclosure, stakeholder engagement, and performance -- the report concluded that while companies are taking steps in the right direction, they are still not moving fast enough to respond to social and environmental issues. Despite these rather disheartening results, some companies stand out through their exemplary proactive approach in embracing sustainability challenges of the future.

One of those companies is Selacorp, an all-in-one business solutions provider. The company's Managing Director, David Dragan Selakovic, explains that for him and his team sustainability and environmental policies are no hollow phrases or targets that are dictated by government requirements, but an integral part of how Selacorp defines itself as a responsible organization: "In everything that we do, we make sure to find the most reliable, sustainable solutions and products that make sense in any business and more importantly reduce environmental impact," says Selakovic. Measures include the optimization of IT hardware, developing energy-efficient office spaces and maximizing the use of eco-friendly building standards, with the goal to reduce the contribution to greenhouse gases, solid waste management problems and water pollution threats on clean ground water.

Founded by David Selakovic, Selacorp is a leading global company that specializes in strategic IT resources and intellectual asset management, offering a complete business solution for technology, research and innovation. Compared to other solutions providers, Selacorp positions itself in a broader spectrum, while at the same time providing detailed, high quality and comprehensive solutions in all business aspects. IoT & Smart Cities Stories
Contextual Analytics of various threat data provides a deeper understanding of a given threat and enables identification of unknown threat vectors. In his session at @ThingsExpo, David Dufour, Head of Security Architecture, IoT, Webroot, Inc., discussed how through the use of Big Data analytics and deep data correlation across different threat types, it is possible to gain a better understanding of where, how and to what level of danger a malicious actor poses to an organization, and to determin...
The hierarchical architecture that distributes "compute" within the network specially at the edge can enable new services by harnessing emerging technologies. But Edge-Compute comes at increased cost that needs to be managed and potentially augmented by creative architecture solutions as there will always a catching-up with the capacity demands. Processing power in smartphones has enhanced YoY and there is increasingly spare compute capacity that can be potentially pooled. Uber has successfully ...
The deluge of IoT sensor data collected from connected devices and the powerful AI required to make that data actionable are giving rise to a hybrid ecosystem in which cloud, on-prem and edge processes become interweaved. Attendees will learn how emerging composable infrastructure solutions deliver the adaptive architecture needed to manage this new data reality. Machine learning algorithms can better anticipate data storms and automate resources to support surges, including fully scalable GPU-c...
We are seeing a major migration of enterprises applications to the cloud. As cloud and business use of real time applications accelerate, legacy networks are no longer able to architecturally support cloud adoption and deliver the performance and security required by highly distributed enterprises. These outdated solutions have become more costly and complicated to implement, install, manage, and maintain.SD-WAN offers unlimited capabilities for accessing the benefits of the cloud and Internet. ...

As IoT continues to increase momentum, so does the associated risk. Secure Device Lifecycle Management (DLM) is ranked as one of the most important technology areas of IoT. Driving this trend is the realization that secure support for IoT devices provides companies the ability to deliver high-quality, reliable, secure offerings faster, create new revenue streams, and reduce support costs, all while building a competitive advantage in their markets. In this session, we will use customer use cases...
Machine learning has taken residence at our cities' cores and now we can finally have "smart cities." Cities are a collection of buildings made to provide the structure and safety necessary for people to function, create and survive. Buildings are a pool of ever-changing performance data from large automated systems such as heating and cooling to the people that live and work within them. Through machine learning, buildings can optimize performance, reduce costs, and improve occupant comfort by ...

Poor data quality and analytics drive down business value. In fact, Gartner estimated that the average financial impact of poor data quality on organizations is $9.7 million per year. But bad data is much more than a cost center. By eroding trust in information, analytics and the business decisions based on these, it is a serious impediment to digital transformation.
