Richard Bagnall Joins PRIME Research Global Leadership Team

Industry Thought-Leader Appointed CEO of PRIME Research UK

(Oxford, UK March 17): PRIME Research announced today the appointment of Richard Bagnall as Chief Executive Officer of PRIME Research UK where he will focus on developing the firm's business domestically and throughout the world. Richard joins with over 18 years' experience advising clients on the best ways to measure the effectiveness of PR and to prove its value to the organisation.

Prior to joining PRIME, Richard was a founding director of international specialist insights business Metrica. Metrica, founded in the 1990s, was sold to Gorkana in 2009 where Richard worked for a further 4 years as MD of the global media insights division. He left in 2013.

Richard is a board director of AMEC (the International Association for the Measurement and Evaluation of Communications) where he chairs its social media measurement committee. He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations' (CIPR) social media panel, leading its work on social media measurement. In 2013 he was appointed as an adviser to the UK Government's Cabinet Office where he is an active member of the Cabinet Office Evaluation Council and a member of its Peer Group of specialist advisers. Richard was one of three external reviewers commissioned to conduct a detailed review horizontally across the British Government's digital communications capabilities co-authoring a report on which all government digital communications strategy for the next few years will be based.

Before his career in PR measurement and insights, Richard worked in public relations itself, both in house for medical charity the Royal College of General Practitioners, and also for Saatchi and Saatchi's PR business, The Rowland Company.
