PulseWallet Launches Innovative, Secure, Cardless Point-of-Sale Solution Using Fujitsu PalmSecure® Biometric Technology at CES International 2014

PulseWallet, the innovative electronic transaction POS provider, will be demonstrating their ultra-secure, first-of-its-kind, cardless Point-of-Sale solution at CES International, January 7-10, 2014 in Las Vegas, NV. PulseWallet’s booth will be located in the Eureka Park section, level 1 of The Venetian, booth #73313. The key feature of the PulseWallet solution is the use of PalmSecure® biometric technology by Fujitsu Frontech North America Inc., a leader in innovative technology and front-end solutions. The integrated “spoof-proof” PalmSecure vein imaging technology enables merchants to provide one of the most secure payment options available, while providing an all-in-one payment system for consumers to access their electronic wallets. Once registered, consumers can leave their credit or debit cards at home and simply scan their palm for payment at POS. Each palm scan is encrypted thus avoiding the security exposure encountered recently by some consumers at check out.

PulseWallet is the next generation of Point-of-Sale transactions. Their PalmSecure-enabled terminals link the consumer’s palm to that consumer’s digital wallet for the safest, most efficient check-out experience yet. The consumer’s PulseWallet account electronically tracks and stores receipts and coupons, and can only be accessed by the consumer. In addition, merchants, always looking for ways to link their corporate brand to green marketing initiatives, can go paperless at check out.

The Fujitsu PalmSecure biometric palm vein sensors use a near-infrared light to capture a user’s palm vein pattern, generating a unique biometric template that is matched against the encrypted palm vein patterns of pre-registered users. Unlike other readers, the PalmSecure sensor does not come into contact with the skin, so it is hygienic, non-intrusive and unrestricted by external factors such as skin types and conditions. Registration at any PulseWallet terminal takes less than one minute and authentication takes less than one second.
