ST. LOUIS, Sept. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Mobile phone text messaging provides merchants a powerful and interactive tool for increasing sales and building customer loyalty. That is a key conclusion of the new 16-page white paper, Mobile Marketing Guide: Using Handsets to Drive Sales, released today by Datacomm Research Company and available for free download from the firm's website.
"The mobile marketing channel provides direct access to more than two billion consumers worldwide," said Ira Brodsky, President of Datacomm Research and the white paper's author. "The white paper was written for merchants in virtually all industries. It explains why the mobile channel delivers unprecedented sales, customer service, and market research opportunities; describes the mobile marketing features available today and tomorrow; and shows merchants how they can start using mobile marketing right away," he added.
Mobile Marketing Guide: Using Handsets to Drive Sales is a clearly-written introduction to the use of mobile phones as a direct advertising medium. The Guide describes the range of technical capabilities available to merchants including text messaging, short codes, on-screen advertising, brand promotion (using ringtones, wallpapers, and games), and multimedia messaging. The Guide also emphasizes the importance of ease-of-use and marketing etiquette, and points to a number of mobile marketing resources.
Also announced today for release on September 15th is Taking Wireless LANs to the Next Level: Fixed-Mobile Convergence. The free white paper explains how Voice over Wireless LAN (VoWLAN) benefits enterprises and end-users, and identifies the features and capabilities needed to ensure a robust and secure implementation.
Mobile Marketing Guide: Using Handsets to Drive Sales and Taking Wireless LANs to the Next Level: Fixed-Mobile Convergence are available in PDF format and may be downloaded from the firm's website at http://www.datacommresearch.com/whitepapers/index.asp .
