HousingWire Selects RESAAS as the Social Network of Choice for Upcoming Real Estate Expo Event

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/12/13 -- RESAAS Services Inc. (CNSX:RSS), a social network for real estate professionals, is pleased to announce that HousingWire (www.housingwire.com) has selected RESAAS as its social network of choice for their upcoming Real Estate Expo (www.rexannual.com) event.

HousingWire's upcoming Real Estate Expo (REX) is thrilled to provide its own private social network to event-goers, thanks to a deal inked with RESAAS this week.

Under the terms of this innovative new deal, attendees at REX 2013 will be given RESAAS profile pages and will also be networked together into a private REX group to communicate and share information during the live event.

"We think this is the first time any real estate event has featured a preferred social networking partner, and it's going to be amazing to see how our attendees make use of this great tool," said Paul Jackson, CEO and Publisher at HousingWire. "It's important to us that REX do more than simply talk about how new technology is changing real estate, but that we're able to actually demonstrate positive change for our attendees."

"The very nature of an event such as the Real Estate Expo is an example of a real life social network," said Tom Rossiter, President of RESAAS. "A collection of people coming together and sharing a common interest; what better use for RESAAS' online social network for real estate professionals than in this setting."

HousingWire, who are hosting their 4th annual REX event, has seen over 6,000 real estate professionals attend previous years. This year they are expecting to exceed attendance totals from previous years.

"We are very excited to have RESAAS onboard as both the provider of REX 2013's social network and a platinum-level sponsor of the event," said Richard Bitner, President of HousingWire. "It's clear that RESAAS is close to a true tipping point and nothing would be more exciting for us than to help accelerate that."

REX is a national residential real estate conference that offers real estate agents, brokers and associated industry professionals a truly national, once-per-year event produced by major trade media.

"Attending REX is an amazing opportunity for RESAAS to connect directly with an audience of real estate professionals who are passionate about evolving and learning more about social media in the real estate industry," said Michael St. Hilaire, COO at RESAAS. "We are excited to show agents the power of using RESAAS in order to share their knowledge and listings with other real estate professionals as well as their clients."

RESAAS will be attending, exhibiting and socially powering the REX event in Fort Worth, Texas from June 2nd to 5th, 2013.

We’ve worked with dozens of early adopters across numerous industries and will debunk common misperceptions, which starts with understanding that many of the connected products we’ll use over the next 5 years are already products, they’re just not yet connected. With an IoT product, time-in-market provides much more essential feedback than ever before. Innovation comes from what you do with the data that the connected product provides in order to enhance the customer experience and optimize busi...
Manufacturers are embracing the Industrial Internet the same way consumers are leveraging Fitbits – to improve overall health and wellness. Both can provide consistent measurement, visibility, and suggest performance improvements customized to help reach goals. The IoTs will challenge the status quo of how IT and development organizations operate. Or will it? Certainly the fog layer of IoT requires special insights about data ontology, security and transactional integrity. But the developmental challenges are the same: People, Process and Platform. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Craig Sproule, CEO of Metavine, will demonstrate how to move beyond today's coding paradigm and share the must-have mindsets for removing complexity from the development proc...
A critical component of any IoT project is the back-end systems that capture data from remote IoT devices and structure it in a way to answer useful questions. Traditional data warehouse and analytical systems are mature technologies that can be used to handle large data sets, but they are not well suited to many IoT-scale products and the need for real-time insights. At Fuze, we have developed a backend platform as part of our mobility-oriented cloud service that uses Big Data-based approache...
