At its Caribbean home in Antigua, the global online lottery announces Ontario woman as million-Euro ($1.3 M) Winner

ST. JOHNS, ANTIGUA, March 14, 2013 /CNW/ - Nancy Foster is very glad she played The BILLe Lotto (www.TheBiLLe.com), now a million Euros (CDN $1.3 M) richer and fresh from being treated like royalty on a Caribbean getaway courtesy of the Antigua-based lottery.

Ms. Foster won her prize in The BiLLe Feb. 14 draw, and was flown from her hometown of Smiths Falls, Ontario to Antigua to make it official.

"I've never won anything before," said Ms. Foster with tears in her eyes. "I've been on disability for years, and was about to lose my house. This is the best thing that's happened to me, ever."

Representatives of the lottery greeted Ms. Foster at Antigua's VC Bird International Airport and whisked her in a stretch limo to Sugar Ridge Resort for a luxurious, all-inclusive stay on the tropical island famous for its 365 white-sand beaches.

"It was incredibly fulfilling to be able to do this for Nancy," says The BiLLe Lotto's Managing Director Dave Edwards, a retired police Staff Sergeant and 30-year veteran of Canada's RCMP, who made the call from Antigua to tell Ms. Foster the news. "And it's always extra special when it goes to someone who really needs it."

Currently The BiLLe is active in more than 100 countries, Edwards says, and the primary jackpot value, currently estimated at €103 million (CDN $137M) will continue accumulating until it reaches a billion Euros or is won.

The BiLLe is a 6/49 style lottery played worldwide online at  www.TheBiLLe.com with individual plays for 7 Euros and fractional plays starting at 1 Euro. There are no duplicate number combinations: once plays are sold out, no more are issued for the current week's draw.
