FedEx Corporation Research Report
FedEx has surpassed its own fuel efficiency goals set back in 2008 years ahead of schedule with more than 22% cumulative improvement in fuel efficiency for its vehicles. FedEx set to improve the overall fuel efficiency of its global vehicle fleet 20% by 2020. The company has also set a more aggressive goal to move forward in an environmentally-conscious manner by setting a new target of 30% fuel efficiency by 2020, representing a 50% increase over the original goal. FedEx expects to save approximately 20 million gallons of fuel this year through these efforts.
