REDWOOD CITY, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 03/14/13 -- Host Analytics, the leader in cloud enterprise performance management (EPM), today announced the appointment of enterprise software industry veteran Lance Walter as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). Mr. Walter has nearly 20 years of experience at high-growth companies, including technical, marketing, and executive roles.
"Cloud EPM is a customer-led revolution," said Lance Walter. "Organizations everywhere are seeking the speed, accountability, and insight of EPM applications with the agility, low total cost of ownership, and rapid time-to-value that only the cloud can deliver. I'm thrilled to join Host Analytics, the clear market leader that is offering today's finance leaders a better choice over legacy on-premise alternatives."
Mr. Walter brings many years of experience in EPM, business intelligence (BI), analytics, and cloud computing to Host Analytics. Prior to joining Host Analytics, Mr. Walter ran marketing for Aria Systems, a leader in cloud billing and subscription management applications. His first executive marketing role was at Pentaho Corporation, where he joined the company as employee number 12 and helped to grow it to more than 600 subscription customers. Prior to that, Mr. Walter served as Vice President of Product Marketing for Business Objects, the BI market leader, as the company grew revenues from $460 million to well over $1 billion prior to its acquisition by SAP. Earlier in his career, Mr. Walter held technical, product management, and marketing roles at industry leaders including Siebel Systems, Hyperion Solutions, and Oracle Corp.
"I'm very excited to add Lance Walter to the Host Analytics executive team," said Dave Kellogg, CEO at Host Analytics. "We've established 'pole-position' in the cloud EPM market. Lance's proven start-up experience, deep background in analytics, and knowledge of the EPM market will only accelerate our continued success as we do for the EPM market what Salesforce.com did for CRM."
