Built from the ground up with recognized music curators that include Filter Magazine, East Village Radio, Fake Shore Drive, Full Service Music and a network of mentors, promoters, venues, festivals and content creators, Red Bull Sound Select is preparing to deliver a unique way to support emerging artists while keeping music fans heavily involved through digital and real-world activations -- all in an effort to Break Music.
As part of the beta program launch in February, Red Bull Sound Select curators invited 15 emerging artists from across the country to perform at local showcases, and asked fans to select five artists to perform at the 120 Hours in Austin event this March. Red Bull Sound Select provided fan-favorites: Beach Party, The Black Cadillacs, Show You Suck, Heliotropes and The Sour Notes with tour support; a performance slots alongside headliners from their respective hometowns; and even gave their most active fan (and 3 friends) an all-expense-paid trip to watch them perform in Austin.
