Capgemini, one of the world’s foremost providers of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced that its Application Services business unit in North America has signed a three-year deal with Greyhound, the largest provider of intercity bus transportation in North America. Capgemini will work with Greyhound to build and support a redesigned shipment tracking portal for its Greyhound Package Express shipping business in the U.S. and Canada, which provide shipping solutions for same day, overnight and oversize/overweight small packages. The new interactive portal will serve as a one-stop portal solution for Greyhound customers and agents to set up and track their online shipping transactions with Greyhound.
The new portal will be built by Capgemini and run on Capgemini’s Cloud Orchestration Management PLatform End-to-End (COMPLETE), powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Capgemini will support Greyhound with three years of AWS infrastructure provisioning, and ongoing management, application architecture, development and deployment. Capgemini’s implemented solutions, powered by AWS, provide clients like Greyhound with a number of benefits, including increased speed to value in provisioning and deployment, flexibility and cost reduction.
“We’re excited to be working with Greyhound on this innovative project,” said Nona Cusick, vice president, Capgemini. “Today, Greyhound’s customers’ shipping requirements are managed either by the customer service offices or by customers visiting multiple web pages. The new portal will provide a streamlined, more interactive online web experience.”
