Palantir Technologies crée un « engagement à agir » pour la Clinton Global Initiative, en partenariat avec Team Rubicon et Direct Relief pour révolutionner les efforts d'aide humanitaire d'urgence

NEW YORK, le 27 février 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Palantir Technologies a annoncé un « engagement à agir » à long terme lors de la session d'hiver de la Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) qui s'est tenue la semaine dernière. L'engagement à la CGI  utilisera les technologies de pointe en termes d'intégration de données et d'analyse pour améliorer de manière significative les actions de secours d'urgence en cas de catastrophe. Dans le cadre de cet engagement, Palantir a combiné ses forces avec Team Rubicon et Direct Relief afin de contribuer à élargir les efforts actuels pour mieux mobiliser, partager et répartir les ressources en cas de catastrophes d'origine naturelle ou autre.

L'engagement réalisé à la CGI entre Palantir Technologies, Team Rubicon et Direct Relief est le premier du genre- réunir des bénévoles et du personnel avec une expertise militaire, pharmaceutique, humanitaire et en science des données afin de mieux répondre aux besoins des communautés vulnérables touchées par ces catastrophes.

Lors de l'ouragan Sandy, Direct Relief a utilisé Palantir pour intégrer l'information à partir de ses propres bases de données, de celles des organisations partenaires et de l'ensemble des données open source pour effectuer des analyses de risques météorologiques, de vulnérabilité sociale, de chaîne d'approvisionnement, et de santé dans les zones dans la trajectoire de la tempête. Les informations ainsi récoltées ont permis à Direct Relief de pré-positionner des provisions et des médicaments avant la tempête, d'analyser les données météorologiques en temps réel pendant la tempête, et de fournir du matériel médical d'urgence où il y en avait le plus besoin à la suite de la tempête. Après le passage de la tempête, les bénévoles et le personnel sur le terrain ont utilisé Palantir Mobile pour collecter et envoyer des données au siège de Direct Relief en temps réel. Palantir a également été utilisé pour surveiller l'évolution des maladies infectieuses et pour envoyer les produits médicaux dans les zones les plus démunies. Team Rubicon a également utilisé le logiciel pour gérer plus de 10 000 bénévoles et pour intégrer rapidement les photos, vidéo, texte et appels téléphoniques pour répondre aux besoins urgents des victimes dans le Rockaways.
