Mandiant®, the leader in security incident response management, today announced a certified integration between the FireEye Malware Protection System™ (MPS) and Mandiant for Security Operations™. Attendees of the RSA Conference 2013 in San Francisco will be able to see the integrated solution on the exhibition floor of Moscone Center from February 26th to 28th in Mandiant’s booth (#2439).
The integration of FireEye’s market-leading platform for malware detection and Mandiant for Security Operations enables security operations center (SOC) personnel and computer incident response team (CIRT) members to dramatically compress the time between when they detect potential threats on their network and when they validate their presence on endpoints.
“By integrating FireEye with Mandiant, our customers are able to identify and resolve incidents more quickly when they arise,” said Manish Gupta senior vice president of products at FireEye. “Automatic indicators generated by Mandiant based on alerts from the FireEye Malware Protection System provide a powerful way for our customers to stay informed about the latest threats moving through their networks.”
Mandiant for Security Operations is an appliance-based solution that utilizes a lightweight agent deployed on endpoints to confidently detect, analyze and resolve security incidents in a fraction of the time it takes using conventional approaches.
The FireEye MPS platform creates a threat protection fabric that helps protect organizations from advanced cyber attacks. The unique platform is based upon a virtualized detection engine, cloud-based dynamic threat intelligence, and integration with a broad ecosystem of partners to significantly increase an enterprise’s security posture.
“SOC analysts and CIRT organizations are constantly challenged to respond to new compromises in a timely fashion,” said Mandiant’s Chief Technology Officer, Dave Merkel. “The integration of the FireEye MPS platform and Mandiant for Security Operations dramatically reduces the time between malware detection and containment on individual host systems in the enterprise.”
