NEW YORK, Feb. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The Street, Inc. (NASDAQ: TST), a leading digital financial media company, is debuting a new video series focused on the Silicon Beach startup scene. "One of the most exciting parts of my job is writing about great startups and startup culture. On TheBeach Meets TheStreet, we dig into the process of taking a company from idea to enterprise," says Rocco Pendola, Director of Social Media, TheStreet. "Our first conversation, with Pandora Internet Radio co-founder Tim Westergen, sets the tone for the series well - here's a company hatched in a San Francisco studio apartment that now owns a spot on practically everyone's iPhone."

TheBeach Meets TheStreet, produced in conjunction with Media 11:11, is available on TheStreet.com every Tuesday and will focus mainly on companies in the area known as Silicon Beach, Southern California's Santa Monica/Venice corridor along the Pacific Coast, with occasional spotlights on startup firms of interest outside the region.
"Media 11:11 is a startup focused on helping people get their content out there- it's a natural progression to create a video series focusing on emerging and established Startup founders & CEO's, who are trying to get their visions turned into reality. With Rocco Pendola and TheStreet, we have the ideal personality and platform to showcase TheBeach," says Manoj Rao, CEO Media 11:11.
The second episode, airing on February 19, will feature Cyrus Farudi, co-founder of Capsule. Watch a preview of the interview here.
"With limited national coverage of the Silicon Beach business scene, our advertising partners will have a truly unique opportunity to connect with an audience of entrepreneurs and startup investors alike," says James R. Freiman, Senior Vice President of Business Development & Strategy at TheStreet. "As video advertising continues to become an integral part of media plans this series is a great avenue for our partners to get out in front of potentially the next big business idea."
If you are interested in being featured in this series and have a business located in the Silicon Beach area, please contact Rocco Pendola at rocco.pendola@thestreet.com.
