Skillsoft today announced a new agreement with the EC-Council, one of the world’s largest certification bodies for information security professionals, to endorse Skillsoft solutions offered to a global network of professionals and leaders in the field. Under the agreement, EC-Council has reviewed and endorsed Skillsoft’s Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) courseware as meeting the exam objectives set forth in EC-Council’s CEH exam. Skillsoft’s CEH courses teach security professionals how to look for weaknesses and vulnerabilities in network infrastructures by deploying the same tools as malicious hackers, which is increasingly relevant as data breaches and security risks continue to rise. Skillsoft provides cloud based learning solutions for its customers worldwide, ranging from global enterprises, government and education to mid-sized and small businesses.
“Our mission is to support and enhance the role of individuals and organizations that design, create, manage or market security and e-business solutions,” said Steven Graham, senior director at EC-Council. “Our arrangement with Skillsoft will help our members with the tools and training to develop the skills needed to think like a hacker so they can scan, test, hack and secure their own systems. We’re excited to add Skillsoft as an endorsed partner to our network of global training partners.”
“The complex and evolving world of security threats make this an area that requires constant education and skills development. With enterprise and consumer users continuing to invest more in mobility, social media and the cloud, their data is at more risk than ever before,” said Priti Shah, Skillsoft director of product management. “We are thrilled to partner with the EC-Council to offer CEH training which assists information security professionals to better protect themselves and their organizations from cyber attacks. We also look forward to developing new content to map to EC-Council’s evolving qualifications for information security certification.”
Skillsoft’s CEH courses are part of its IT Skills Courseware Collection which provides formal and on-demand learning in an array of modalities including online courses, expert mentoring, IT certification manuals and practice certification exams. Flexible delivery technologies allow learners to have instant access to the right resources, resulting in immediate impact to critical IT decisions and projects.
