Rumble Entertainment, a leading developer of premium, multiplatform free-to-play games, is kicking off its publishing business in partnership with Aquiris Game Studio. Based in Brazil, Aquiris is currently developing Ballistic, a free-to-play, browser-based first-person shooter slated for release Spring 2013.
“Aquiris was looking for a publisher who shared our vision of delivering premium gaming experiences in the browser,” said Mauricio Longoni, CEO, Aquiris. “Rumble understands the changing nature of publishing in the digital space and, as developers of top-tier web and mobile games themselves, they are uniquely positioned to extend their platform to and share knowledge with developers like Aquiris. Partnering with Rumble allows us to deliver a new benchmark for browser-based shooters.”
In its role as a modern game publisher, Rumble provides technology, tools, and know-how to the best developers of web and mobile game experiences. The Rumble games-as-a-service publishing platform includes scalable operations infrastructure, a rich suite of game-feature and social APIs, telemetry and analytics, customer support, and QA testing. Rumble's world-class design and art team supports developers in creating appealing and profitable game services. Additionally, Rumble leverages its marketing and player-acquisition capabilities to build loyal and engaged game audiences.
“Ballistic represents the kind of high-quality browser experience we believe will lead the industry in coming years,” Greg Richardson, CEO, Rumble Entertainment, said. “Aquiris is a natural fit for our publishing program, and we can’t wait to help them bring this innovative shooter to gamers everywhere.”
Ballistic captures the frenetic action and competition of team-based shooters while delivering stunning visuals that load instantly on browsers and Facebook, with no download necessary. Players choose from an array of modern-day weapons and skill perks to create customized loadouts, then put their skills to the test in high-octane shoot-outs. Prepare to go ballistic in Spring 2013.
