Golf MTRx App Discounted 50% to Benefit Junior Golf

$1 From Each App Sold During the Farmers Insurance Open Will Be Donated to the San Diego County Junior Golf Association

SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/23/13 -- Golf MTRx™, the innovative new mobile app that uses biomechanic analysis to improve swing efficiency, will be discounted 50% during the upcoming Farmers Insurance Open held from January 24-27 at Torrey Pines Golf Course. One dollar from each app purchased during the dates of the tournament will be donated to the San Diego County Junior Golf Association (SDJGA) to support its mission to enrich the lives of youth through education, training and competition.

"The discount is being offered to during this PGA Tour event to allow the SDJGA to receive the greatest number of donations possible," said Tom Gibbings, Jr., CEO of Zeroline Golf. "We strongly believe in the importance of quality instruction and the valuable life lessons that junior golf programs provide to kids."

Zeroline Golf will share the SDJGA booth at the tournament and showcase Golf MTRx to spectators and golf professionals. Golf MTRx is the only mobile app that uses the integrated iPhone® and iPod touch® sensors to measure pelvis movement during a golf swing and then provide detailed analysis and recommendations for improvement.

Established in 1952, the SDJGA has influenced the lives of thousands of San Diegans. Notable alumni include current and former PGA Tour players Phil Mickelson, Scott Simpson, Craig Stadler, Pat Perez and Chris Riley.

Golf MTRx, now on the App Store(SM), uses biomechanic analysis focused on the pelvis -- the foundation of a powerful and efficient golf swing -- to identify swing elements that need improvement and prescribe drills customized for the user. With Golf MTRx, there are no additional products to buy -- golfers can just secure their smart device inside their belt, and the app employs integrated sensors to gather data, explain its meaning and prescribe solutions.

Contextual Analytics of various threat data provides a deeper understanding of a given threat and enables identification of unknown threat vectors. In his session at @ThingsExpo, David Dufour, Head of Security Architecture, IoT, Webroot, Inc., discussed how through the use of Big Data analytics and deep data correlation across different threat types, it is possible to gain a better understanding of where, how and to what level of danger a malicious actor poses to an organization, and to determ...

The hierarchical architecture that distributes "compute" within the network specially at the edge can enable new services by harnessing emerging technologies. But Edge-Compute comes at increased cost that needs to be managed and potentially augmented by creative architecture solutions as there will always a catching-up with the capacity demands. Processing power in smartphones has enhanced YoY and there is increasingly spare compute capacity that can be potentially pooled. Uber has successfully ...
Cloud computing delivers on-demand resources that provide businesses with flexibility and cost-savings. The challenge in moving workloads to the cloud has been the cost and complexity of ensuring the initial and ongoing security and regulatory (PCI, HIPAA, FFIEC) compliance across private and public clouds. Manual security compliance is slow, prone to human error, and represents over 50% of the cost of managing cloud applications. Determining how to automate cloud security compliance is critical...
Enterprises have taken advantage of IoT to achieve important revenue and cost advantages. What is less apparent is how incumbent enterprises operating at scale have, following success with IoT, built analytic, operations management and software development capabilities - ranging from autonomous vehicles to manageable robotics installations. They have embraced these capabilities as if they were Silicon Valley startups.
Disruption, Innovation, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, Leadership and Management hear these words all day every day... lofty goals but how do we make it real?
