SES EN PARTENARIAT AVEC O3B NETWORKS POUR FOURNIR LA CAPACITE INTERNET NECESSAIRE A L’EXPANSION DES SERVICES DE RESEAU CELLULAIRE DE DIGICEL EN PAPOUASIE-NOUVELLE-GUINEE

SES (Paris:SESG)(LuxX:SESG) et O3b Networks annoncent la signature d’un contrat de capacités satellitaires avec Digicel, qui vise à doter son réseau mobile en Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée de capacités Internet de haute qualité par l’intermédiaire du satellite NSS-9 de SES et de la flotte en orbite terrestre moyenne d’O3b.

En vertu de cet accord pluriannuel, ce fournisseur de réseaux de téléphonie mobile en plein essor utilisera la capacité en bande C du satellite NSS-9 sur 183° Est et le service O3bTrunk pour continuer à proposer des services de communications vocales de haute qualité et de transmission haut débit de données mobiles à ses clients de Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée.

La couverture étendue du satellite NSS-9, associée à la capacité de transmission haut débit à faible latence de la constellation d’O3b, permettra à Digicel de fournir à ses clients de Papouasie-Nouvelle-Guinée des services de réseau cellulaire fiables et économiques ».
