SEGA® of America today announced their partnership with Gogogic ehf. to develop Godsrule: War of Mortals, a free-to-play, cross-platform build and battle game planned for an early 2013 launch.
SEGA is already a pioneer in the console and mobile interactive entertainment space and, with this partnership, seeks to solidify its position as a leader in the free-to-play and cross-platform gaming space.
“We choose our partners carefully and Gogogic has a demonstrated ability in creating top-flight games that resonate with their players,” said Chris Olson, Vice President of Digital Business at SEGA of America. “We look forward to building new worlds with them.”
Based in Reykjavík, Iceland, Gogogic is a leading developer of multiplayer games for browsers and mobile devices. Their games span multiple platforms which include the iOS hit, Tiny Places and the ground-breaking MMO, Vikings of Thule.
Godsrule is currently in Closed Beta for browser and iPad. Players can register at http://www.playgodsrule.com and receive free premium currency for a limited time.
