RF IDeas Inc., a leading manufacturer of in-building identification and access readers, announced today that the pcProx® Plus family of readers has undergone an expansion that will provide the ability to read the secure sector memory areas of HID iCLASS ID™ and iCLASS SE™ credentials.
By expanding the pcProx Plus family, customers now have more custom features to choose from to better fit their specific authentication needs, as well as have the ability to take advantage of enhanced security benefits. When an iCLASS SE card is used in conjunction with the newest pcProx Plus reader, it provides the most secure proximity combination available on the market.
"Our goal with the pcProx Plus reader was to offer a powerful and diverse card reader that would meet all of our customers’ needs, while remaining cost effective and simple to use,” says Richard Landuyt, President of RF IDeas. "This expansion of the pcProx Plus line takes that goal to the next level by providing our customers with more diverse and customizable features that can be used to best suit their application.”
The RF IDeas pcProx and pcProx Plus lines of card readers currently support over 45 different types of proximity (125 kHz) and contactless (13.56 MHz) credentials. The addition of the iCLASS ID and iCLASS SE capabilities create a powerful and versatile ecosystem for all RF IDeas customers.
