Global network access specialist, The Kenton Group, today launches its CPE (Customer Premises Equipment) Provisioning Portal to simplify product configuration and the delivery management for the supply of CPE for operators and ISPs across the UK and Europe. The new portal streamlines the supply chain to the end user, is cost-effective for configuring routers and layer 2 CPE, simplifies and centralises the order processes and is key to effective inventory management.
The Kenton Group's provisioning portal offers a single unified interface for the provisioning of all CPE and serves as a front end to all the back-office systems involved in the procurement and delivery process. It has been specifically designed with operators and ISPs in mind, saving time and providing a fully auditable solution that integrates seamlessly with existing automated ordering systems.
Lee Palmer, Commercial Director at The Kenton Group, explains: "With the complexity of having to deliver individually configured CPE to end users, the cost in resources and time can often escalate out of all proportion for our customers. Our provisioning portal provides operators with a simple, efficient and cost effective process that meets their needs and directly increases the service profitability. Also, it cuts out the cost of manual on-site installations, while conforming to the operator's Service Level Agreement requirements."
Key features of the CPE Provisioning Portal include report generation (both for finance and order details), user management functionality, IP address management, order management and online order delivery tracking. The portals are secure (running on The Kenton Group's HTTPS web server using the latest 256bit SSL encryption conforming to ISO 27001) and each is customised to meet individual needs and the specific configurations requirements for each customer. Operators also have the ability to place and track orders through the portal at any time of the day, as well as request report generation at any time.
"Our new portal re-enforces our commitment to giving our partners and customers unparalleled technology and the best service in the industry," concludes Mr Palmer.
