LAS VEGAS, NV -- (Marketwire) -- 01/09/13 -- Audyssey, a leader in audio technology for the personal, automotive, mobile and theater markets, today announced Audyssey Clean Voice -- a technology that dramatically improves the audio quality in phone conversations. Audyssey Clean Voice uses advanced noise reduction and bandwidth replacement techniques to improve telephony in virtually any setting.
Conference calls, cell phones and in-car conversations all suffer from different challenges. Audyssey Clean Voice dynamically adjusts to specifically address complications in each use case. Removing noise pollution wherever telephone users encounter it is Audyssey's latest milestone in the company's quest to deliver the perfect listening experience.
"Background noise can make telephone conversations difficult," explained Audyssey CTO Chris Kyriakakis. "This is becoming an even bigger problem with the higher-quality voice codecs that are now available. They extend the bandwidth of the voice, but more background noise frequencies are getting through as well. We developed a new method to reduce the noise and improve the intelligibility of the voice."
The key to efficient noise reduction is to identify what is unwanted noise and what is voice content. Audyssey developed advanced noise identification methods that identify environmental noise and create noise reduction filters to drastically reduce it so that it doesn't interfere with the conversation. Audyssey Clean Voice can even make the clicking sounds of a computer keyboard or turn indicator in the car disappear. The user is left with only a crystal-clear conversation, no matter where or how they choose to have it.
Audyssey Clean Voice is available now.
