Gemalto, Yokosuka Telecom Research Park, Fujitsu Ten y Ertico lanzan el primer centro de prueba de llamadas de emergencia (eCall) en Japón

Gemalto (Euronext NL 0000400653 GTO), líder mundial en seguridad digital, hoy anunció su colaboración con Yokosuka Telecom Research Park, Inc. (YRP), FUJITSU TEN, desarrollador líder de sistemas de seguridad avanzados, y ERTICO a fin de lanzar el primer centro de prueba de llamadas de emergencia (eCall) de Japón para ayudar a los fabricantes de automóviles mundiales a que cumplan con las nuevas normas de respuesta ante emergencias de la Unión Europea (UE). Gemalto proveerá sus mejores tecnologías de módulos automotrices de máquina a máquina (M2M) Cinterion® y de Módulos de Identificación de Máquinas (MIMs) para permitir las comunicaciones y el posicionamiento por GPS para todos los escenarios de prueba. Es el primer centro de llamadas de emergencia fuera de Europa, lo que permite que los fabricantes de automóviles japoneses prueben las soluciones destinadas para la Unión Europea a nivel local.

Diseñado para reducir el tiempo de respuesta ante emergencias, el servicio de llamadas de emergencia “112” consiste en un sistema de máquina a máquina interoperable paneuropeo que permite que los vehículos (y pasajeros) llamen para pedir ayuda de manera automática en caso de que hubiese un incidente vial. El banco de pruebas de FUJITSU TEN y YRP se presenta en las unidades del Sistema a Bordo del Vehículo (IVS) que aprovechan la tecnología de Gemalto que cumple con las llamadas de emergencia con éxito probado en Europa y que cumple con los casos de prueba europeos. Cuando se activan las bolsas de aire u otros sensores dentro del vehículo, un Módulo de Identificación de Máquinas para el sector automovilístico establece instantáneamente una conexión de red segura y un módulo de máquina a máquina del sector automovilístico Cinterion inicia una llamada de voz “112” estandarizada con el centro de llamadas de emergencia más cercano. El sistema envía información clave sobre la situación de manera automática, incluidos el lugar exacto del incidente, la hora, el Número de Identificación del Vehículo y otros datos a los operadores de emergencia que envían los servicios pertinentes en tiempo real. Los pasajeros pueden activar la solución en forma manual cuando fuere necesario. Los ensayos se ven muy facilitados por este centro de pruebas, la única y exclusiva red celular 2G de llamadas de emergencia de Japón, que simula las redes inalámbricas europeas.
