Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), a leading global technology distributor, today announced that Douglas Kent, global vice president of Avnet Velocity, will chair the Supply Chain & Logistics Summit Asia in Singapore. The conference will be held at The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia, Singapore, on January 8 and 9. In addition to hosting the event, Kent will discuss the top five trends impacting the supply chain in 2013.
“As we look out at 2013 and beyond, there are some key trends that will heavily influence the global supply chain,” said Kent. “During the conference, we will examine how these predictions will be realized, who will be impacted and how this might change the game – from the product's design to the products being delivered.”
The Supply Chain & Logistics Summit Asia provides senior-level supply chain executives with the knowledge they need to optimize their supply chain management and logistics operations in Asia. The summit will highlight best practices for business success, how to successfully enter new markets, and how to profit by optimizing an existing Asian supply base while preempting and protecting business operations in a high risk environment.
