New Year's Eve parties aren't just for humans anymore! Club K-9 Doggy Daycare, located in Centerville Ohio, is hosting their annual New Year's Eve party for dogs. This special event is designed to give canine kids the opportunity to come out and ring in the New Year with their friends. Club K-9, normally open during the day, opens their doors for one special night of dog fun for their regular clients. Christina Massie, owner of Club K-9 Doggy Daycare shared that this event was developed to give their clients an option for bringing their dog someplace safe and fun while they went out for the evening without having to worry about their dog being home alone.
Club K-9 staff will be with the dogs all night long to make sure everyone plays safe and has fun. The staff will be taking photos and serving some specially made dog beer. Massie states "we wanted to add something this year that was a little different, so we did some research and found beer that is brewed specifically for dogs. While they won't be getting drunk, they will get a chance to taste it if their owners say it's ok, and it gives the owners something interesting to talk about". And when the ball finally drops the dogs will get to play in a 'midnight bacon flavored bubble blowout' where they will be showered in flavored, dog safe bubbles.
Anyone interested in checking in on the fun, can follow the Club K-9 Facebook page or they can watch the action live on the webcams. The party starts at 5pm on December 31st and ends at 11am on January 1st and will be reservation only for current clients of Club K-9, but the good news is that it is an annual event so people who are interested in getting their dogs involved can plan for next year. Massie says "We limit this event to our current clients because the dogs who participate have been through our evaluation process and already know each other, which makes it a fun and comfortable environment for everyone. By controlling who participates we can make sure that we have a safe and fun environment where our dogs can ring in the New Year".
