SapientNitro Bolsters Investment in Asia Pacific Region with Key Leadership Moves

SapientNitro, part of Sapient (NASDAQ: SAPE), today announced that senior vice president Dr. Christian Oversohl has transitioned to the position of Asia Pacific (APAC) Lead and has re-located to Singapore. In this role, Oversohl is responsible for growing SapientNitro’s business in the current geographies of China, Singapore, Australia and India, as well as driving expansion across the region.

A 12-year Sapient veteran, Oversohl most recently led the European business through a period of significant growth. He will continue to report to President and Chief Executive Officer Alan J. Herrick and will work closely with SapientNitro Europe and North America leaders to ensure cross-geographic collaboration, particularly in support of global accounts.

Joining Oversohl is Kim Douglas, a three year SapientNitro veteran, who has transitioned from his role as managing director of the consumer products business for Europe to head up the Singapore office. As managing director for Singapore, Douglas is focused on growing the regional hub and driving the expansion of key global clients across the region.

“Having this new, strengthened leadership team in place in the Asia Pacific region allows us to best serve our growing client base and to take advantage of the tremendous opportunity we see in this market,” said Alan J. Herrick, president and CEO of Sapient. “Christian, with his seasoned leadership, vast experience and immensely successful track record in the European market, is best positioned to lead this business. We are confident that he and Kim will facilitate our global clients in their expansion plans in this important market and in turn lead our APAC business to greater heights.”

Under Oversohl’s direction, the newly expanded Singapore office is already working with some of the world’s strongest global brands such as Citi, Unilever, Credit Suisse, and Coca Cola, as well as leading brands in the region, including RACQ, SingTel and Ferrero China.

"It is an exciting opportunity to lead the APAC business for SapientNitro at a time when Asia is expanding significantly and leading the way in many new technologies and consumer trends. Our unique ability to integrate Brand,, Digital and Commerce in a way no one else does is redefining what it means to be an agency and is a critical component to the success that we’re able to drive in helping our clients connect with their always-on consumers in this rapidly changing, multi-channel environment,” said Oversohl. “With our investments in capabilities and talent, and our track record of client success, SapientNitro is in the right position to take advantage of the tremendous growth opportunities in the region.”

The APAC leadership team focus is on further expanding SapientNitro’s core capabilities and serving key regional and global clients.
