Jenne and LifeSize Demonstrate How Resellers Can Harness the Power of LinkedIn as Part of Ongoing Social Media Training Series

Third of Four-Part "Get Social, Get Sales" Video Series Highlights Setting Up Company Pages, Product Pages and Creating Vibrant Community Discussions on LinkedIn

AVON, OH -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/12 -- Jenne, Inc., a leading value-added distributor of IP telephony, audio and video conferencing, unified communications, data networking and security and surveillance products, announced that the third part of its popular four-part "Get Social, Get Sales" video tutorial series with video conferencing manufacturer partner LifeSize is now posted on the Jenne website at www.jenne.com.

This third video in the series, hosted by LifeSize video evangelist Simon Dudley, covers basic and advanced techniques for using the professional networking site LinkedIn to more effectively communicate with existing and potential customers, partners and other key business constituents. The video highlights how to set up company and product pages, and explains how users can create active discussions within the LinkedIn user community.

"Committing to LinkedIn for a few minutes each day could result in resellers having a professional conversation with their customers that leads to new opportunities," said Megan Lueders, vice president of global marketing for LifeSize. "The latest episode in our video series will help resellers create a robust, new social media channel that resellers can leverage to grow their business."

During the video tutorial, Dudley discusses how LinkedIn can fit into a reseller's social media strategy, as well as the intricacies of how to use the networking site to get the most results. He guides resellers through the process of setting up both company and product pages so end-user customers can easily find them on LinkedIn, and get the corporate and product information in which they are most interested.

Additionally, Dudley dives into the more advanced features and strategies of using LinkedIn effectively to create discussion groups to connect with prospects to develop new business opportunities.

"LinkedIn still is frequently under-utilized by resellers for lead generation -- yet it is among the most effective, user friendly tools on the market," said Susan Elder, director of marketing, Jenne, Inc. "For businesses, LinkedIn requires a minimal amount of effort, yet has the potential to yield tremendous results for those resellers willing to invest just a small amount of time each day. We strongly encourage resellers to take advantage of this free online training."

The "Get Social, Get Sales" series will conclude on January 15, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. EST with a live webinar. During the webinar, Simon Dudley will review the highlights of the series and then open up a "Q and A" for resellers so they can get answers to all of their social media how-to questions. A drawing for a $100 American Express gift card will take place at the end of the webinar, and the winner must be on the call when the name is announced to win. To register for the webinar, visit Jenne's web site at www.jenne.com/training.

DevOps is being widely accepted (if not fully adopted) as essential in enterprise IT. But as Enterprise DevOps gains maturity, expands scope, and increases velocity, the need for data-driven decisions across teams becomes more acute. DevOps teams in any modern business must wrangle the ‘digital exhaust’ from the delivery toolchain, "pervasive" and "cognitive" computing, APIs and services, mobile devices and applications, the Internet of Things, and now even blockchain. Internet-of-Things discussions can end up either going down the consumer gadget rabbit hole or focused on the sort of data logging that industrial manufacturers have been doing forever. In his session at @ThingsExpo, Gordon Haff, Red Hat Technology Evangelist, will share examples from a wide range of industries – includin...

According to Forrester Research, every business will become either a digital predator or digital prey by 2020. To avoid demise, organizations must rapidly create new sources of value in their end-to-end customer experiences. True digital predators also must break down information and process silos and extend digital transformation initiatives to empower employees with the digital resources needed to win, serve, and retain customers.

The Internet of Things (IoT) promises to simplify and streamline our lives by automating routine tasks that distract us from our goals. This promise is based on the ubiquitous deployment of smart, connected devices that link everything from industrial control systems to automobiles to refrigerators. Unfortunately, comparatively few of the devices currently deployed have been developed with an eye toward security, and as the DDoS attacks of late October 2016 have demonstrated, this oversight can ...
What happens when the different parts of a vehicle become smarter than the vehicle itself? As we move toward the era of smart everything, hundreds of entities in a vehicle that communicate with each other, the vehicle and external systems create a need for identity orchestration so that all entities work as a conglomerate. Much like an orchestra without a conductor, without the ability to secure, control, and connect the link between a vehicle’s head unit, devices, and systems and to manage the ...
"Once customers get a year into their IoT deployments, they start to realize that they may have been shortsighted in the ways they built out their deployment and the key thing I see a lot of people looking at is - how can I take equipment data, pull it back in an IoT solution and show it in a dashboard," stated Dave McCarthy, Director of Products at Bsquare Corporation, in this SYS-CON.tv interview at @ThingsExpo, held November 1-3, 2016, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, CA.
