BELLEVUE, WA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/12/12 -- RIM Publications, a leading publishing company that manages community newspaper outlets across Idaho, Oregon, Hawaii, and Washington State, today announced the appointment of Stephen Miller to the role of Managing Editor for the organization. Miller will oversee the editorial, social media, and digital strategies for RIM Publications that serve RIM's portfolio of newspaper properties.
"We are delighted to welcome Stephen Miller into the fold to help us envision and create a more unified and cohesive publishing strategy across all our publications," said Cliff Wright, COO of RIM Publications. "Stephen has proven himself to be an accomplished journalist and a leader within the publishing industry and his leadership will help guide both print and digital initiatives within our organization."
Stephen Miller comes to the position of managing editor after working as the editor of The Capitol Hill Times where he reinvented the weekly publication, giving it a fresh voice as well as a refined print and online image. In addition, he played a pivotal role in creating the paper's first accompanying magazine.

"It's no secret that the journalistic landscape has changed dramatically in recent years," Miller said. "I think community newspapers, like those RIM publishes, are poised to lead the industry into its future, if they can successfully capitalize on the new technologies and methods of communication at their disposal. I am honored to act as managing editor for our company, and, along with our team, plan to place RIM's publications at the forefront of that next step."
