Les principaux obstacles aux performances sur une plateforme virtuelle sont :

  • Les I/O superflues. Le système d'exploitation Windows génère des opérations I/O superflues en décomposant un seul fichier en plusieurs morceaux lors de l'écriture. Comme chaque morceau requiert des opérations supplémentaires sur la couche de stockage, le résultat net est une pénalité d'I/O encourue pour chaque écriture et lecture suivante.
  • Les goulots d'étranglement des I/O. Sans un adressage proactif des données les plus fréquemment consultées côté serveur, celles-ci doivent parcourir toute la distance entre le serveur et l'espace de stockage, augmentant la latence et dérobant de la bande passante de stockage.

We are reaching the end of the beginning with WebRTC and real systems using this technology have begun to appear.
