This certification covers both tenprint rolled and identification flat fingerprint capture and meets the Integrated Automated Fingerprint Identification System (IAFIS) Image Quality Standard (IQS) Appendix F specification*. To be certified, fingerprint scanner quality must meet designated parameters in reproducing the original fingerprint pattern for geometric accuracy, gray-level dynamic range, and signal-to-noise ratio.
