EVault, Inc., a Seagate Company (NASDAQ:STX), announced today that it is further expanding into the Brazilian market by partnering with the Alcateia Group, a leading IT solutions provider in Brazil. Alcateia was chosen to be the Brazilian distributor for the full range of EVault cloud-connected services, including EVault SaaS, EVault Endpoint Protection and EVault Cloud Disaster Recovery Service.
EVault provides onsite, cloud and cloud-connected data protection solutions to help organizations protect distributed environments, supported by a secure, reliable cloud storage infrastructure and backed by the highest quality customer service. EVault has been a leader in the industry’s move to hybrid storage models, with a uniquely integrated ecosystem of EVault storage software, SaaS, managed services and appliances that help ensure customers maintain business continuity. Geared towards mid-market and enterprise-level businesses, EVault solutions are optimized to perform in multi-site, multi-platform environments, ideal for protecting operations in remote and /branch office locations.
“Customers' needs are changing, and they are increasingly demanding more dynamic, secure and reliable cloud-based backup and recovery solutions,” said Ricardo Marques, product manager at Alcateia. “With EVault’s impressive portfolio, we’re now able to deliver to our Brazilian resellers the best onsite, cloud and cloud-connected services available in the market. This gives both our resellers and their customers failproof and scalable options to fit any business model.”
With nearly 200 million people and a rapidly expanding economy, Brazil presents tremendous opportunities for cloud IT solutions providers and distributors. In a September 18, 2012 press release, Gartner predicted the highest regional growth rates in public cloud services in 2012 will be experienced in emerging Asia/Pacific (including India and Indonesia), greater China, Eurasia (including Russia) and Latin America (including Argentina, Mexico and Brazil). With over 25,000 clients, Alcateia is a top distributor of cloud computing solutions in Brazil.
“As we continue to expand our services to new markets around the world, Brazil was a natural next step. It has a vibrant, growing economy with potential for massive cloud adoption. Brazil's rapidly expanding private sector has produced a heightened need for robust backup and recovery solutions,” said William da Cunha, Vice President of Sales, Americas for EVault. “Alcateia has been a leader in the IT distribution market in Brazil for over two decades, and this strategic partnership expands our cloud-connected services to the Brazilian reseller community, helping companies properly secure their business-critical data.”
EVault’s cloud-connected backup and recovery is available immediately through Alcateia.
