BELMONT, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/19/12 -- Vindicia, the leading provider of marketing and selling automation for the Digital Economy, today introduced a new capability with massive revenue potential for both online merchants and physical retail stores. For the first time ever, online merchants using Vindicia's CashBox can attract new customers and maximize revenue by selling online content -- from media to gaming to sports and software -- via Vindicia's in store displays at physical retail locations. Retail stores mutually benefit by selling digital content subscriptions via on-premise end cap systems, checkout lanes or self-checkout -- a new source of revenue that eliminates inventory overhead.
For merchants to stay viable and competitive in today's ever-evolving digital world, they must embrace consumer buying habits and new business models and channels. Vindicia has long-delivered the tools and insight via CashBox, the company's all-inclusive marketing, CRM and billing solution, that helps digital leaders optimize customer retention, enhance acquisition rates and minimize operational overhead. The latest P2V business model is easy -- at retail, a customer selects a subscription card and brings it to a cashier or orders a subscription at a self-checkout where a receipt is printed with the name of the subscription and access code. The consumer can give it as a gift or activate it once they are online.
"By providing online merchants a way to sell their virtual goods and subscription services at retail locations, we've given them access to a massive customer buying platform," said Gene Hoffman, Chairman and CEO of Vindicia. "Whether an impulse buy, a seasonal shopper or savvy consumer, we're able to increase the value of a traditional retailer by expanding offerings. For the retailer with a loyal customer base, this is done with zero inventory overhead and wide margins and profits."
