Panasonic überträgt erfolgreich totale Sonnenfinsternis live mit Solarenergie

Am Morgen des 14. November 2012 erlebte der Norden Australiens eine totale Sonnenfinsternis. Panasonic hat dieses spektakuläre astronomische Ereignis erfolgreich über USTREAM live gesendet. Dazu nutzte das Unternehmen ausschließlich HIT(R)-Solarkollektoren und Lithium-Ionen-Akkus.

Die Sonnenfinsternis wurde von zwei Basen an der Küste aus übertragen, Port Douglas und Fitzroy Island, die sich jeweils 60 km nordwestlich und 30 km östlich von Cairns befinden. Ein paar Tage vor dem spektakulären Augenblick versteckte sich die Sonne häufig schüchtern in den Wolken, im Augenblick der totalen Sonnenfinsternis kam die Sonne aber zwischen Perioden mit trübem Wetter heraus, und die an einem Teleskop angebrachte LUMIX GH2 von Panasonic konnte den dramatischen Moment etwa zwei Minuten lang aufnehmen.

Die umweltfreundliche Live-Übertragung in alle Welt über Ustream, die eine Herausforderung war, wurde von insgesamt 800.000 Menschen in den zwei Basen verfolgt, hauptsächlich aufgrund von Mundpropaganda, und zwar vor allem auf sozialen Medien wie Twitter und Facebook. Vielen Dank an alle, die mitgemacht haben!

Die monumentale Herausforderung „Die Sonne mithilfe der Sonne filmen“ wurde von Panasonic zum zweiten Mal angenommen, nachdem die ringförmige Sonnenfinsternis im Mai 2012 vom Fuji in Japan aus gesendet wurde. Über die totale Sonnenfinsternis

Eine totale Sonnenfinsternis tritt ein, wenn der Mond zwischen Sonne und Erde tritt und so faktisch die gesamte Sonne verdeckt. Da die totale Finsternis ein Phänomen ist, bei dem die Sonne selbst nicht zu sehen ist, beobachten wir in Wirklichkeit die heißen Gase der Korona, den sogenannte „Diamantring“ und die Protuberanzen. Der Sichtstreifen, von dem aus man eine totale Sonnenfinsternis komplett beobachten kann, ist sehr schmal. Sie haben daher Glück, wenn Sie das auch nur ein einziges Mal im Leben sehen können.
