Syniverse today announced the opening of the Syniverse Development Center in Nanjing, China, an important addition to the company’s growing presence in China.
The Syniverse Development Center in Nanjing is designed to drive the development of next-generation mobile solutions in this fast-growing market, where highly specialized engineers and developers will rapidly bring to market solutions specifically tailored to address the most complex challenges and opportunities that mobile service providers in China as well as in the rest of the Asia Pacific region face in delivering a superior end-user experience well into the future.
“Syniverse has been dedicated to creating innovative solutions that simplify mobile complexity for more than 25 years, and the Development Center in Nanjing represents yet another milestone in our commitment,” said Jeff Gordon, President and CEO, Syniverse. “The Syniverse Development Center will facilitate local collaboration with our customers and speed to market advanced solutions that address end-users’ demands for simple, high-quality, interoperable, always-on mobile experiences.”
The Syniverse Development Center is located in the heart of Nanjing, a city that hosts development and innovation centers for many of the world’s leading technology companies. Syniverse provides solutions to mobile service providers across China and the region that acknowledge the strategic importance of the Development Center.
“The rapid pace of change, the complexity of new technologies and the ever-rising expectations of mobile consumers make it imperative to work closely with innovators like Syniverse that can help us provide our end users with a seamless, high-quality experience,” said Dr. Yan Bo, GM of Global Business Dept., China Unicom.
“With the new Development Center in Nanjing and Syniverse’s existing in-region presence, we benefit from end-to-end solutions to address today’s complexities surrounding global interoperability while ensuring we’re fully prepared for the unlimited future potential of mobile,” said Richard Zeng, Executive Vice President of China Telecom Global.
The opening of the Development Center in Nanjing builds on Syniverse’s momentum in China and the Asia Pacific region at large, where the company serves more than 180 customers, including some of the largest Tier 1 mobile operators. In the last year, the company has announced significant contracts in China, India, Japan and South Korea.
“We are deeply committed to China and the Asia Pacific region and look forward to long and productive relationships with our customers, business partners and industry peers in this dynamic mobile market,” said Windy Zou Kohl, Senior Vice President and Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Syniverse. “Through advancements like the Syniverse Development Center and our growing portfolio of advanced solutions with Real-Time Intelligence, LTE and Wi-Fi, we are committed to spurring long-term innovation to benefit end users in China and around the world.”
