PALO ALTO, Calif., Nov. 13, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Kapow Software, a leading innovator in the application integration market, today announced strong growth in its first fiscal quarter (Q1-FY2013) with an 87 percent rise in subscriptions to its Kapow Katalyst Application Integration platform compared to the same period the previous year, which also continues their string of successive quarter-to-quarter growth. Kapow Software continues to see demand from companies looking to gain an advantage through real-time collection and analysis of big data, particularly with federal intelligence and local law enforcement agencies. The company also garnered a significant uptick in new subscriptions in the United Kingdom and Japan markets.
"Enterprise leaders across numerous industry sectors realize there's a big opportunity in social media and big data," said John Yapaola, CEO of Kapow Software. "Our customers use Kapow Katalyst to make sense of big data and monetize it by unlocking its value and taking action to transform their business. They are able to collect terabytes of external, unstructured data in real-time and gain insights to use for business imperatives – including tracking and solving crimes; reducing sales cycles; out-predicting the stock market; monitoring hundreds of thousands of competitor's prices; and managing and defending brands."
There's been increasing momentum with enterprise and government customers during the last quarter since the introduction of Kapow Kapplets™ in June and the recently announced Kapow Software partnership with Informatica. Kapow Software makes it possible to collect, enrich and deliver the massive sprawl of unstructured data - estimated to be as large as 80 percent of the world's digital information - from any web-based data source, specifically from websites and cloud applications that are difficult to access.
Kapplets extend Katalyst's award-winning data collection and integration capabilities directly into the hands of the analysts, marketers, sales reps, recruiters and anyone else who uses data to grow their business – in the form of lightweight apps with Google-like user simplicity. They enable front-line workers to manage the collection and integration of legacy, cloud, social and big data and then visualize the results, extract value and take action. Kapow Software innovation delivers significant value without massive investments in data warehousing and data mining. With the Kapow Katalyst platform, there's no need for coding, costly consultants or API dependency.
