BETHESDA, Md., Nov. 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- EYA, an award-winning Washington-area builder, today kicked-off Neighborhood Hunt, a giveaway contest in celebration of its 20th anniversary. The 30 day scavenger hunt leverages the walkability of EYA's communities, partnering with key local businesses and enticing its social media fans with over 50 prizes to restaurants and shops around town.
Since its founding in 1992, EYA's commitment to delivering "life within walking distance" has made its communities some of the most sought-after in the Washington Metropolitan Area. Fittingly, Neighborhood Hunt recognizes and rewards its fans, friends and homeowners by delivering prizes from exciting retailers located near EYA's communities. Gifts include prizes from Angelika, Bellacara, Capital Grille, Crate and Barrel, Freshbikes, Graffiato, Menomale, Neiman Marcus Last Call Studio, Red Barn Mercantile, Restaurant Eve, Society Fair, and Timothy Paul.
Neighborhood Hunt engages EYA's fans both online and offline, with its Facebook page serving as the central hub for secret codes, trivia questions, and other challenges. Depending on the challenge of the day, fans are rewarded for providing correct or creative answers to local-themed trivia, navigating EYA's online content, or visiting an EYA model.
"For 20 years EYA has made its name by creating innovative, convenient residential communities throughout the Washington Metropolitan Area," said EYA Vice President of Sales & Marketing Preston Innerst. "Neighborhood Hunt is the perfect way to celebrate our 20 years of achievements, by focusing on those who brought us our success – our fans and homeowners."
