"This week is an important opportunity for seniors to get informed about how to stay safe online. As the fastest growing group of Internet users, seniors face the same online threats as other users and they need to take the necessary steps to protect themselves. But for seniors, who may have adopted this technology at a later stage in life, cyber security may seem more challenging.

For this reason, GetCyberSafe, the Government of Canada's national public awareness campaign to educate Canadians about online safety, has posted new information for seniors that includes simple steps they can take to protect themselves.
