Coupa Software, the leader in cloud-based spend optimization software, today announced that three EMEA-based companies: Bourne Leisure, a privately owned, leisure and entertainment organization in the UK, NNIT A/S, a leading IT consultancy in Denmark, and Spotify, a global digital music service headquartered in Sweden, have selected Coupa as their spend optimization solution.
Coupa also announced a strategic partnership with Stretch, a leading consultancy firm with offices in Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Stretch will be a valuable partner by assisting customers with Coupa implementation and value-added services.
These additions reflect the continuation of Coupa’s aggressive global expansion, particularly in the EMEA region. During the first three quarters of 2012, Coupa added 10 languages, opened new offices in the United Kingdom and established strategic relationships with KPMG LLP (global alliance), IBM (global alliance) and Xoomworks (EMEA regional partner).
Bourne Leisure, comprising its three businesses of Haven, Butlins and Warner Leisure Hotels, recently selected Coupa as its preferred partner for procurement-to-pay (P2P). The implementation of Coupa will enable Bourne to streamline P2P processes across its businesses and will enable the business to procure goods and services much more effectively as a result of the spend data that the solution will provide.
“We reviewed a number of systems that are available in the marketplace and found that the breadth of functionality and speed of change and evolution that Coupa could bring was second to none. An extremely important aspect of the Coupa solution for us was ease-of-use. We believe that our team will find this system to be very intuitive, thereby enabling them to use it quickly with minimal training,” said Melanie Jeffrey, head of Procurement at Bourne Leisure.
NNIT A/S chose Coupa over five other procurement solutions based on its intuitive nature and flexible customization for services procurement. With Coupa, NNIT A/S will purchase and order items, such as networks, hardware and software, supporting NNIT’s delivery of IT services to its customers, that include pharmaceutical companies, state agencies, companies in the food industry and other private corporations.
“When considering various solutions to gain optimal control of our spend, we looked for something similar to Amazon – where it’s easy to find what you’re looking for and be able to quickly place an order,” said Søren Bech Justesen, CFO at NNIT A/S. “Coupa fit this requirement perfectly, and it’s exactly what we need to attain visibility and analysis on what is being bought in our product line levels, which in turn, allows us to better manage our spend. We look forward to implementing the solution and to reap these benefits.”
Spotify, whose music streaming service is available in 15 countries worldwide, needed a quick and easy way to rein in company IT spend. Its decision to select Coupa was based on looking for alternative options to manage its spending budget.
“Our approach to music and our business is to appeal to the everyday user and provide maximum value. With many of our listeners signing up via Facebook, we wanted to carry that social culture to our own internal procure-to-pay function,” said Benjamin Hasselgren, IT procurement manager of Spotify. “Coupa was the perfect fit – letting us capture the power of our employees to save money and allowing us to gain visibility into our spend when it comes to our critical categories like IT, and therefore, be in a position to be more competitive and to offer even more music.”
“We’re delighted to welcome established leaders like Bourne Leisure, NNIT A/S, and Spotify to our base of EMEA customers,” said Alex Kleiner, general manager, Coupa EMEA. “Plus we look forward to a prolific partnership with Stretch as we continue to deliver our intuitive cloud-based solutions to companies across the region.
“Coupa is committed to customer success and doing whatever is required to ensure that they achieve their savings goals. These customers signify the tremendous adoption that Coupa has experienced. Our No. 1 focus is on customer success.”
