Datacard Group, the world leader in secure ID and card personalization solutions, announced today that they are continuing to expand their financial instant issuance portfolio with the availability of its latest financial product—the Datacard® CE870™ instant issuance system.
Designed for in-branch instant issuance of financial cards, the CE870 system enables financial institutions to reach higher levels of cardholder satisfaction with the ability to put embossed payment cards directly in the hands of cardholders – offering cardholder convenience, reduced costs and lower risk.
The CE870 system is the first desktop system on the market to offer graphics printing, indenting and embossing capabilities of up to 150 characters. This flexible card personalization system offers magnetic stripe encoding, contact and contactless encoding options for EMV® smart card issuance, a multi-card hopper, as well as direct-to-card printing and topping capabilities in a modular design. This enables organizations to reliably print custom high-definition color graphics and offer up to six different card types including credit, debit or ATM cards.
“Organizations around the world are recognizing the benefits of offering instant card issuance,” said Kathleen Phillips, vice president of distributed issuance at Datacard Group. “The CE870 system is an innovative system with capabilities first on the market and helps our customers increase cardholder satisfaction, while lowering costs.”
Part of a complete portfolio of instant issuance solutions, the CE870 system is also fully compatible with Datacard® CardWizard® issuance software—which is a proven enterprise software application that is currently installed in thousands of financial institution branch locations. Financial institutions can easily pair hardware, software, services and supplies to have a fully integrated solution that fits their needs. This provides organizations a single source provider to make implementation and ongoing support easy, simple and convenient.
Currently, Datacard solutions issue millions of cards everyday worldwide and the company has thousands of instant issuance installations throughout the world, including both magnetic stripe programs as well as EMV smart card programs. Instant card issuance and activation is part of Datacard Group’s Secure Issuance Anywhere™ -- which combines central issuance or instant issuance, as well as emerging mobile issuance into a single, integrated solution.
