Ping Identity®, The Cloud Identity Security Leader™, today announced that HighRoads, the industry leader in employer health care compliance and benefits communications management, has selected PingFederate® to provide its customers single sign-on (SSO) to its solutions, including HighRoads’ employee-facing portal for up-to-date health plan information. HighRoads helps employers manage their benefits and compliance through a Web-based solution, and sought a commercial SSO solution with brand recognition, one that is secure and robust. The answer: Ping Identity.
“Our customers face stringent federal and state regulations, so there is always extensive security analysis throughout the deployment process. To provide the most advanced solutions for our customers, HighRoads uses proven, best-of-breed technology,” said Vikki Kolbe, senior vice president of development and delivery for HighRoads. “When customers learn that we leverage Ping Identity’s SSO technology to power our solutions, it expedites the decision process because they know and trust the Ping brand.”
To help clients comply with federal regulations governing the communication of SPDs (Summary Plan Description) and the new SBCs (Summary of Benefits and Coverage), HighRoads offers a searchable online portal for employees, as well as the first-of-its-kind smart phone app that allows employers to provide SBC materials to plan participants on a mobile device. Both the portal and mobile app required a commercial single sign-on component.
“Our customers’ employees were already familiar with an SSO experience and wanted to extend that experience when using our HighRoads online portal and mobile app,” said Kolbe.
“We chose Ping Identity because it is an SSO solution that our employer customers trust. Ping Identity helps enable HighRoads’ customers to be in compliance with federal regulations governing the up-to-date communication of plan information,” added Kolbe. “It is one of the pieces we needed to be a complete communications solution.”
