Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: GWAY), which delivers innovative software and business services solutions for ambulatory care providers through its PrimeSUITE® platform, today announced that Cerner (Nasdaq: CERN) has certified PrimeSUITE for interoperability with the Cerner Network suite of solutions. The Cerner Interoperability Certification Program is designed to create truly integrated platforms that transform health and care delivery by enabling health systems, hospitals and practices/clinics to achieve their information exchange goals and improved outcomes.
The Greenway certification reflects these goals by lifting the data-exchange barriers between the Cerner Network suite of solutions — which delivers data exchange among a hospital’s acute care systems — and solutions such as Greenway PrimeSUITE. With proven interoperability between the Cerner and Greenway solutions, clinical, financial and administrative information is exchanged among hospitals and owned or affiliated practices and clinics, enhancing effiency and care coordination.
The Cerner certification process established that Greenway’s solutions are interoperable with the Cerner Network by providing electronic data exchange using Cerner's established architecture and communication protocols. The process evaluated nearly 100 data points that cover interoperability, standards-based methodology, resource availability and leadership initiatives, in both testing and production environments.
“This certification is a tremendous step forward in achieving data liquidity between the health information systems of Greenway and Cerner customers,” said Greenway® President and Chief Executive Officer Tee Green. “Enterprises that implement both solutions realize seamless data exchange throughout their community of health, enabling them to meet regulatory, payer and industry goals of ensuring that all health information gets delivered where it’s needed, when it’s needed, to drive care coordination and improved outcomes.”
