Red Bull Mission Control App Launches in US

BROOKLYN, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 07/10/12 -- Socialbomb announced today the US release of Red Bull Mission Control, a social game for iPhone, Android and the web. Billed as a global platform, Red Bull Mission Control encourages players to compete in challenging missions during the course of their daily lives.

"After a successful launch in the UK, we're excited to bring Red Bull Mission Control to one of the world's largest markets," said Scott Varland, Socialbomb CEO, who partnered with Red Bull Media House to create the application. "The app weaves a game into everyday life, bridges the networks and activities of players, and integrates tightly with Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare."

Red Bull Mission Control launched in tandem with the 2012 X Games where thousands of spectators were given a chance to win limited edition items and VIP passes. Venue specific missions drive players to team-up and check in at event venues, capture photos and other challenges.

Varland adds, "The application is a great example of how digital products and experiences can foster engagement and loyalty from consumers. By delivering value and staying connected to people every day, Red Bull develops passionate fans."

The game is designed to run continuously, but Red Bull Media House will also use the platform to drive hyper-local engagement. With a major event scheduled worldwide daily, the game gives fans a personal channel to be creative, socialize and to compete.

Red Bull Mission Control was created by Red Bull Media House and designed and developed by Socialbomb. In the first week available in the US and UK markets, the application ranked 9th and 20th in its iTunes Store category, respectively.

Digital Transformation is much more than a buzzword. The radical shift to digital mechanisms for almost every process is evident across all industries and verticals. This is often especially true in financial services, where the legacy environment is many times unable to keep up with the rapidly shifting demands of the consumer. IoT is rapidly becoming mainstream as more and more investments are made into the platforms and technology. As this movement continues to expand and gain momentum it creates a massive wall of noise that can be difficult to sift through. Unfortunately, this inevitably makes IoT less approachable for people to get started with and can hamper efforts to integrate this key technology into your own portfolio. There are so many connected products already in place today with many hundreds more on the h...
The standardization of container runtimes and images has sparked the creation of an almost overwhelming number of new open source projects that build on and otherwise work with these specifications. Of course, there's Kubernetes, which orchestrates and manages collections of containers. It was one of the first and best-known examples of projects that make containers truly useful for production use. However, more recently, the container ecosystem has truly exploded. A service mesh like Istio addr...

To Really Work for Enterprises, MultiCloud Adoption Requires Far Better and Inclusive Cloud Monitoring and Cost Management … But How?
