TIBCO Extends Messaging Portfolio Using HTML WebSocket

Web Messaging solution enables real-time, two-way web communication using the new HTML5 WebSocket standard

"We're extending our TIBCO messaging portfolio to power enterprise operations twenty-four seven and crucially, on-the-go," said Rourke McNamara, VP of product marketing at TIBCO Software Inc., as TIBCO announced that it has partnered with Kaazing Corporation, a leader in full-duplex, real-time web communication technology. to launch an enterprise-strength web messaging solution: TIBCO Web Messaging.

"People expect the right information at exactly the right moment and on whichever device they choose," McNamara continued. "TIBCO is extending its high-performance messaging technology into the web and mobile space, and offering the two-second advantage to companies looking to offer custom-built services to their customers."

With its TIBCO Web Messaging solution, McNamara explained, organizations can service the growing demand for information via mobile and web channels with as much as 500 times lower web overheads compared to traditional HTTP, leading to improvements in performance and reducing total cost of ownership.

"TIBCO is recognized as an industry leader in high performance messaging middleware. We are excited about collaborating closely with TIBCO on launching this new enterprise-strength, real-time web messaging offering," said Manuel Hoffmann, vice president business development, Kaazing Corporation. Hoffman continued:

TIBCO Web Messaging enables enterprises to build real-time web applications and offer contextual mobility based services while leveraging existing investments in high-performance enterprise middleware everywhere,"

TIBCO Web Messaging, the company said in a release accompanying this announcement, "enables real-time, two-way web communication using the new HTML5 WebSocket standard and integrates directly with TIBCO Enterprise Message Service."

This enables information to be sent automatically to a variety of client applications, such as smartphones, tablets, or browsers with exceptional levels of scalability, security, and availability. Leveraging this software, says TIBCO, companies can extend their reach to customers whenever and wherever they may choose, and connect with business data in a vastly more efficient and cost-effective manner across the web.
